Youth Advocacy Training Day


The Youth Advocacy Training is a full-day intensive program designed to turn passionate young Ohioans into skilled, confident advocates. Whether you've never attended a city council meeting or you're already organizing in your community, this training will sharpen your tools and expand your network.


Hosted at Columbus State University and open to participants aged 16–30, the day combines expert-led workshops, hands-on simulations, peer learning, and direct access to campaign leaders and civic professionals from across the state.


Participants will leave with a concrete action plan, a network of like-minded young advocates from across Ohio, digital organizing tools, and for those who complete the full day an official Youth Advocate certificate from the Carter campaign.


Lunch, refreshments, and all training materials are provided at no cost. Travel scholarships are available for participants commuting over 50 miles please indicate this in your registration.
